I agree, I'll bring that up. So far they have been really good about getting back to me on complaints. Hopefully it will all work itself out soon. I am worried that other group members aren't posting. I hope everyone understands how to post.

I really don't like the new setup! I finally just figured out how to post on here to check on you all. Yes I definitely like the old, tested and true page we had, guess I don't care much for change. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!! LOL!

Mine was at a doctor visit when i had to face THE SCALE. I was horrified and said to the nurse "that's not me"...she put her hand on my shoulder and said " yes honey it is". Tears!

My wake up call was while I was trying on wedding gowns for my upcoming wedding, nearly all the bridal boutiques I visited didnt have anything in stock in my size! :(

My wake up call was waking up this week with shortness of breath and chest pain. Being a nurse I thought the worst. Luckily after going the ER I found out it wasn't anything more than inhaling fumes from cleaners while cleaning house. Thank God. But being overweight and having a family history of heart disease and cancer I realize if I don't change my ways next time I may not be so lucky. Talk about a big motivator.

My wake up call was getting my lab results from a health screen at work this week. My cholesterol was high and my cardiac risk was high. So now I have a new motivator to get healthy.

My wake up call was getting on the scales at my mothers over Christmas. ( I don't own any). I am 4 kg away from my heaviest weight and I was full term pregnant then and 20 years younger. Time to get healthy

My blood pressure woke me up. Too far up. I have always had very low blood pressure, and I hated the idea of being on another medication. At that same visit, my cholesterol was high. My doctor wants to put me on cholesterol medication. I am terrified of having a stroke. I'm only 38.

My wake up call is that I have a hard time walking now. I have bursitis and tendonitis in my right leg. I want to walk like I am 42 not 75, and I think loosing weight will help me do this.

My wake up was going on a trip this year and finding that NONE of my formal clothes, including sports jackets, fit any longer. Then on the trip itself, we found ourselves in the lobby of a spa and I jumped on the cool looking electronic scale only to find I had balooned up to 213 lbs... IMPOSSIBLE AND DEPRESSING! my wake up call was when I was told there was no other alternative to life if if did not lose the weight I was carrying. since 2003 I had lost over 250lbs but now struggling to lose what I have since gained back since my 2nd daughter has been born in 2006.Have gained back bout 80 lbs I pray that I will lose this I am starting to feel miserable again and other health problems on the rise too. Any suggestion will be appreciated

My wake up call was when I realized I was afraid to leave the house because I live in an apartment up three flights of stairs. Coming home is/was always a struggle because I have two babies and it is so hard to just get up the stairs with them.

MIne was trying to put on my favorite pair of jeans...that fit me just fine two months ago and now...can't even get them over my thighs...and i wasn't too pleased at my weight then...two months later they don't even fit!!!! bad bad bad!

Hi, I've just read your message, a couple of months have passed since you posted it but, in case you're still looking for good tips on losing weight, I got amazing results by following a mediterranean diet (Italiandiet, I found it on the web), a really good set of eating habits that made me understand the importance of balanced nutrition and portion control in order to lose some extra pounds and maintain a healthy weight. What I like most of my plan is that it's more similar to an eating style than simply to a diet: it focuses on what to eat (more whole grains, more fruits, more vegetables and legumes, a lot of fish, olive oil) rather than on what not to eat (less red meats and less dairy), no foods are off limits, the recipes are delicious and this positive approach makes it easier to stick to your plan. Losing weight, and keeping it off, is a natural consequence of your healthier eating habits. Here are, also, some simply rules, based on my weight loss plan, I use to follow in my daily life to keep my weight under control:

- subdivide daily food intake into 4-5 sittings: it will be easier to digest foods more efficiently and you won't get too hungry between meals (so you won't crave snacks all the time!); - eat white meats (chicken, turkey) more than red meats: they have the same nutritional values but are less fatty; - eat plenty of fish; - use olive oil as your preferred fat: it is extremely digestible and helps you in the digestion of other fats; - include in your diet all-in-one-meals like pasta with vegetables (zucchini, artichokes) or pasta with legumes (peas, chickpeas, beans): they are quick to prepare and provide you with the same nutrients as a three-course meal, being also lower in calories; - as much as you can, try to avoid junk food and fizzy drinks.

You should also make physical activity part of your weekly life. I combined my diet with two hours a week of aquafitness and some running, but feel free to choose the workout that most suits you and exercise regurlarly! Weight loss takes a lot of goodwill and perseverance, but as far as you set little goals and work hard to reach them, step by step, you can get it!! Believe me: I've lost more than 20 pounds so far! :-) I wish you all the best with your weight loss journey, for any help and support feel free to get in touch!

Hey Scrappy! I'm a Nighttime Nibbler too. What's been most successful for me has been:

1) drinking a lot of water (if I feel like I should go get something to eat, I first drink a glass of water and wait 15 minutes -- I usually forget by then)

2) Keeping busy (both my mind and my hands). I find if I get bored or have nothing to do with my hands, I get more of an urge to eat, so I often to online puzzles (crosswords, sudoku, etc.) or do crafts

3) Have the main place we set up for the evening (our family room) be as far away from the kitchen as I can. For me, I have to go up a flight of stairs and down a little hallway to get to the kitchen. Not nearly as appealing if I have to work for it (my tendency not to exercise is showing here...)
